The wedding is now tomorrow. Crazy how fast time flies when you have a million things to do. I think we have completed almost everything we had to get done. Only a few last minute things to do today. Tonight is the rehearsal starting at 4 so we have to get them done fast. I just hope the next two days don’t go by too fast.
Well the countdown in at two days. Been busy with a lot of last minute decisions and things to do to write anything on this blog. Shortly after the last post we had out Bachelor and Bachelorette parties. We both had a great time at them and that’s about all we will say.
Last minute meetings with Chris the Florist and Chris the Photographer went well. We also had a conference call with Jim the DJ and the song list is complete.
A little over two weeks to go and Nadine is in Madrid, Spain. I know it’s just the place that she wants to be with that much time to go…
We booked the rehearsal restaurant with a deposit this past week. Not much left to do elsewhere, just last meetings with the DJ, Flower guy and Photographer over the next week or so. Nadine had her hair and makeup trial this past Saturday. I didn’t get a chance to see her hair but the makeup turned out beautiful. Afterwards, she had her girl’s dinner and movie night which it sounds like everyone had a good time at and could start to relax and have fun.
Meanwhile on Saturday, my Dad and I put the mower deck back on the tractor. It only took three hours or so for us to complete. It was a lot faster than the four or five hours it took the four of us to take it off in the 30 degree temps this past fall. So glad that is done and it was fun spending the whole day with my Dad since I took him out to Chili’s afterwards.
Well we are finalizing the guest list with the few B list people responding. So glad almost everyone we invited, can make it. The only people that really couldn’t were Nadine’s family from Germany. The gifts for the Mom’s, groomsmen and bridesmaids came in and they came out great. We hope that they like them. I am just waiting on the Dad’s gifts.
We planted a garden again this year. I tilled all the ground two weeks ago. Nadine first planted my Raspberry bush next to the gate (she doesn’t think it will do anything) . This past weekend we put in the tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, basil, lettuce, zucchini, cucumbers (yuck), radishes, and cilantro. Hopefully everything does well this year. We didn’t try the peppers again because they didn’t do so well last year.
Well the wedding is no longer months away, its down to days. We are crossing items off the To Do list all the time. Recently we bought the bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts. We hope they like what we bought them. Nadine has the Mom’s gifts picked out, I just have to narrow down what I am getting the Dad’s. We also picked our readers for the wedding. Both are special to us and are honored that they will be doing the readings.
